We strive for your Wholeness candles to bring joy and illumination while imbuing your space with exquisite aromatic blends that inspire love, creativity, and tranquility. To ensure optimal performance, please follow the candle care guidelines below:
1. Initial Lighting: When lighting for the first time, allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface, reaching the edges of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle’s lifespan, which may take 2-4 hours.
2. Wick Trimming: Trim the wick to ¼ of an inch before each lighting to promote an even burn, maintain a steady flame, and reduce sooting or mushrooming of the wick.
3. Burning Duration: To retain the fragrance, avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
4. Post-Burn Wick Care: After each use, trim the candle wick to prevent smoking during subsequent burns or the risk of the glass sides burning. We recommend trimming to 1/4th to 1/8th of an inch using quality wick trimmers.
5. Handling Soot: If soot accumulates inside the vessel, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, then gently wipe the interior with a clean damp cloth. Trim the wick and relight as needed.
6. Maintaining Wax Pool: Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, or any debris.
7. Safe Extinguishing: Use a snuffer to extinguish the candle flame or dip the wick into the melted wax, then straighten it to prevent smoking and wax splattering. Avoid blowing out the flame.
8. Safety Precautions: If the candle smokes, flickers excessively, or the flame becomes too high, extinguish it. Allow it to cool, trim the wick, and check for drafts before relighting.
9. Enhancing Scent Dispersal: For optimal scent throw, burn the candle in the desired area for 30 minutes with doors closed. Opening windows and doors will disperse the scent further.
10. Storage: Store your candles in a cool, dark, and dry place, away from direct sunlight or harsh indoor lighting.
11. Cleaning: Remove dust and fingerprints from the candle surface by gently rubbing it with a piece of nylon or a soft cloth, dry or slightly dampened with water.
12. Candle Usage Limit: Avoid burning the candle all the way down; always leave at least ½ inch of unmelted wax at the bottom.
13. Safety Reminder: Never leave a burning candle unattended.
